Stephen is a people person who enjoys working in retail. He follows his late father’s philosophy that ‘we’re in the tyre division of the people industry’.
Stephen has decades of experience in the industry, first fitting tyres for his father in the early 1970s during his school holidays. Having worked in retail at Beaurepaires, held Victorian management positions at Dunlop and previously supplied tyres and wheels to JAX Tyres on a wholesale level his familiarity with the JAX model and procedures lead to the decision to buy a store and offer customers the best tyre brands available.
Personally, Stephen notes that he is looking forward to greeting locals in and around Hawthorn to assist in making their vehicles as safe as possible. Wheels, brakes and suspension servicing are available from the JAX Hawthorn team in addition to associated services such as wheel alignments, balancing, rotations and nitrogen inflation.
The team will have a family flavour as Stephen’s daughter Morgan will work with her Dad for one year before studying Marketing over the road at Swinburne University. One of Morgan’s talents includes making barista quality coffee using the store’s espresso machine, available for customers that choose to wait in the comfortable showroom to read a magazine or watch television.
