Franchise Owner of JAX Tyres & Auto Warners Bay, Ian Mace, has participated in this year’s World’s Greatest Shave to raise funds for The Leukaemia Foundation. Having already surpassed his initial fundraising target of $1,000, Ian aims to reach $2,000 in support of this important cause. 

Ian’s participation in the 2025 World’s Greatest Shave culminated in a special event, held at the JAX Warners Bay store on Saturday, 5th April, where he had his head shaved. JAX Tyres & Auto showed its support for his cause by donating a signed helmet from Supercars driver and JAX ambassador David Reynolds to the highest donor. 

Ian’s decision to take part in the World’s Greatest Shave was deeply personal. He was inspired by the loss of his uncle three years ago and, more recently, by his father, Brian, who was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in January 2024. After undergoing chemotherapy, bone marrow treatments, and facing ongoing health challenges, Brian is now in remission but requires monthly check-ups and continues to live with the long-term effects of the disease.

During the event, Ian said, “Taking part in the World’s Greatest Shave is my way of honouring the people I’ve lost and also supporting my dad as he continues his battle. It’s a small act, but I hope it helps make a big difference for others facing similar challenges. It has been great to see the local community and our customers get behind this cause - a big thank you to everyone who has donated.”
