Sam notes that ‘meeting customer needs is our focus. To make sure people that visit leave happy is the foundation of our business.’ He lives nearby in Caringbah with his wife, son and daughter and likes to go fishing when time permits. There is a proud mechanical tradition in the Awali family as Sam’s father and grandfather both have experience running their own mechanical businesses. Sam learnt the trade and then ran a successful steering, suspension and brakes shop between 2001 and 2013 before gaining experience at JAX and buying the Sutherland store due to the ‘independence at JAX and choice of brands offered to customers in one place’.
