Melbourne 4x4 Show 2024 - Terms and Conditions
This competition (Competition) is offered by JAX Tyres & Auto (Organiser).
Information on how to participate in this Competition forms part of these Terms and Conditions (Terms). Attempts or requests to participate in this Competition that are not made in accordance with these Terms are ineligible.
By participating in this Competition, an entrant (Entrant) is deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
Entrants agree their info to be sent to Organiser who will use your details for Marketing purposes only (Email marketing, SMS and vouchers) in accordance with their privacy policy.
Entrants must be over 18 years old to enter the Competition. All Entrants must attend the competition in person at the JAX Tyres & Auto stand (EP290) at the Melbourne National 4x4 Outdoors Show 23rd - 25th August 2024.
Employees of JAX Tyres & Auto and their immediate family members, are ineligible to participate in this Competition.
Competition
The competition is a game of Skill. The winning Entrant is the one who fits the wheel fastest during the competition opening hours. The Entrant must follow the competition rules displayed at the JAX stand:
Scan the QR code and enter your details to be eligible for a shot at being the JAX Top Gun.
- Wait for your turn to compete
- Pick up the Rattle Gun and let us know that you are ready.
- Wait for your starter to say “Ready, Set, Go” this is when the timer starts.
- Wheel nuts to be removed, wheel is to come off and touch the ground before being lifted back onto the hub, wheel nuts must be started by hand then rattled up correctly with the rattle gun, not too tight!
- Time will stop when you place the rattle gun back to its base.
- Timekeepers' decisions are final!
1. The winning Entrant will win a set of four BFGoodrich KO2 or KM3 tyres (the Prize). The value of the Prize is up to $2,300. The Prize does not include any travel costs or associated expenses incurred in redeeming the Prize. The Prize includes tyres and fitting to existing rims at the selected JAX Tyres & Auto store. In no case will the Prize be modified to fit beyond the Original Equipment Manufacturer standards (OEM standards).
2. The Competition is open during Melbourne National 4x4 Outdoors Show opening hours 23rd - 25th August 2024.
3. The winning Entrant will be the Entrant who fitted the wheel fastest during the competition. Timekeepers' decisions are final!
4. The Winner will be contacted by email on Monday 26th August 2024. The winner has 2 weeks time to respond to the email and claim the prize. If the winner does not claim the prize, the second best time will be contacted and they have 2 weeks to claim the prize.
5. All participants agree pictures and /or video of the competition to be taken and to be shared in JAX Tyres & Auto social media channels.
6. The Prize is not transferrable and not redeemable for cash. Any element of the Prize that is not claimed will be forfeited, and no compensation is payable in its place.
7. Should the tyres chosen by the winner of the Prize not be readily available, Organiser will do its best to source and provide the tyres in a timely manner. The competition participants understand that availability of the tyres is subject to factors outside of Michelin Australia Pty Ltd or JAX Tyres & Auto's control.
8. Michelin Australia Pty Ltd and JAX Tyres & Auto reserve the right to offer alternative tyres to winner if the BFGoodrich KO2 or KM3 tyres are not suitable for the vehicle or are not available.
9. The prize must be claimed and fitted at the selected JAX Tyres & Auto store by 30th November 2024.
10. If for any reason the Competition is not capable of running as intended or planned by the organiser, JAX Tyres & Auto reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Competition and to disqualify any Entrant without liability of any kind.
11. By accepting these Terms and Conditions, the Entrant acknowledges and accepts that:
(a) Participating in the Competition may be physically demanding and may pose a risk to the Entrant’s health
(b) The Entrant is solely responsible for ensuring that they are not suffering from any health condition that may hinder their participation in the Competition or prevent them from safely participating in the Competition or that may be detrimental or adverse to their health, safety or physical condition if they participate in the Competition
(c) The Entrant will not participate in the Competition whilst suffering from any such condition
(d) If the Entrant is in any doubt, they will obtain appropriate medical advice before participating in the Competition
(e) The Organiser (and their respective agents, employees and officers) is unable to provide the Entrant with medical advice, whether in regard to the Entrant’s fitness to participate in the Competition or otherwise
(f) The Organiser (and their respective agents, employees and officers) have no obligation to perform any type of assessment or testing to determine the Entrant’s physical condition or ability to participate in the Competition without risk to themself
(g) To the maximum extent permitted at law:
i. the Organiser (and their respective agents, employees and officers)
exclude all liability for any actions, claims, costs, demands, expenses,
liabilities or loss (including any consequential or indirect loss) of any
kind whatsoever arising from or related to the Competition, or the
Prize;
ii. the Entrant waives any right to compensation for loss, damage, injury to or death arising out of or in connection with their participation in the Competition and will not bring any claim, present or future, against the Organiser (and their respective agents, employees and officers) for any such loss, damage, injury or death; and
iii. the Entrant agrees to indemnify the Organiser (and their respective
agents, employees and officers) against all claims, liability, loss, cost
and expense that the Organiser (and their respective agents,
employees and officers) may suffer or incur arising out of the Entrant’s
participation in the Competition
