Husband and wife team Steve and Jenni Berlin are the proud franchisees at JAX Tyres Toowoomba.

With a change of career on their minds, the couple were thrilled about their purchase of the busy store in August 2010.

Steve is a boilermaker by trade with a mining background, while Jenni has had experience in varied customer service industries. The couple have a keen interest in the automotive business and have built a loyal customer following for tyres, wheels, brakes, suspension and oil changes.

"Being new to the tyre game, we researched all of our options and JAX seemed to best fit our needs. It’s a very successful Group and Jenni and I are proud to be part of it" Steve says. The Berlins work hard to give customers a reason to return to their store. "It's a very diverse business and all of the customers have been very welcoming of us" Steve says.

"Being in a country area, we see many farmers and tradespeople as well as families. Everyone is very friendly and we are more than happy to be of assistance to them."

Steve and Jenni are also aware of the importance of female customers to the business. "Ladies make up a significant portion of the tyre buying public and we are very conscious of that." Steve notes. "Our showroom boasts a large flat screen television, leather seats, tea and coffee making facilities, a full range of magazines from fishing and wheels to Womans Day and an array of childrens' toys and books. It's important to us that our customers feel welcome. We are also located directly opposite Clifford Gardens Shopping Centre, so you can shop while your car is being serviced."

Not only are the Berlins enjoying their business venture but they are also enjoying living in the Toowoomba area amongst family and old friends. "Our children are also enjoying having their grandparents close by so everyone's a winner," Steve smiles.
