Cameron McConville survives the 'anything goes' race starts in Bahrain 2008 Australia V8 Supercar Championship : Round 12

The second fly-away event for the season was action packed and at times difficult for Cameron McConvile and WOW Racing. This Round challenged each of the 6 Holdens from the Walkinshaw Performance stable. None of the cars truly found the "sweet-spot" in terms of chassis set-up on this tyre sensitive, low-grip circuit
Cameron McConville comments
"I was nailed by D'Alberto on Lap 1 at Turn 7, then again by Todd Kelly at Turn 8. After that I carried steering damage with no pace. Clearly anything goes at the start. It was silly."
"I had quite a good race. I jumped from 25th to 15th on good tyres. There was some push and shove with Van Gisbergen and Dumbrell at Turn 4 and I got a run on them into Turn 6. Problem was I ran in too deep and quick and tagged Rick Kelly. My fault, I had no intention of trying to pass Rick. It was a mistake and I offered an apology."
