Light Vehicle Mechanic - Tweed Heads
About the Role
JAX Tyres & Auto is excited to welcome a new, experienced Motor Mechanic to this exciting new team. In this role, you will use your expertise to analyse and repair all light vehicle makes and models, with the bonus of working in a well-equipped and safety-first workshop. You will work closely with tyre technicians, wheel aligners and sales staff to deliver the best service to our valued customers, ensuring everyone leaves our store with peace of mind driving. Your main day-to-day tasks would include:
- Thoroughly inspecting and successfully identifying vehicle faults
- Light vehicle servicing, with a focus on wheels, brakes and suspension
- Providing your expert advice and reporting potentially dangerous risks of your customer’s vehicles
- Safely operating hoists and conducting road tests
- Occasionally performing wheel alignments and post alignment checks as required
- Above award salary + bonuses
About you
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle
- A current Australian driver's licence
- Prior experience working as a Motor Mechanic
- You are an excellent problem-solver
- You can work cooperatively in a team environment, but also confidently when unsupervised
- Excellent communication skills when dealing with customers and team members
- Knowledge and compliance of work health and safety practices
- At least 2 years practical experience required.
